ALL ABOUT CHUCK

I’m Chuck Charles. I spent 30 years in the United States Marine Corps before retiring in 1985 as a MGySgt (Master Gunnery Sergeant – the highest enlisted rank).  Marines don’t ever stay in one place too long, and that was always fine with me as I have always liked seeing new places, meeting new people, and doing interesting things.

I am a private pilot, and built and flew my own airplane, a Vari-Eze which I named Chippewa Spirit to honor my dad, a Chippewa Indian who attended Carlisle Indian School in the early 1900s. I am also an avid photographer and you can see many of my photos at Chippewa Marine Photography. I enjoy computers and any electronic ‘gadgets’. I also love traveling and am currently a full-time RVer seeing the U.S. in a Wildcat 5th Wheel with my ‘beautiful bride’, Cheryl, and our Yorkie-Poo, Shadow.
