Seabreeze & Queen Mary

We are presently camped at Seabreeze RV Resort at the Navy Base in Seal Beach, CA. We use the term ‘Resort’ loosely. It’s a nice campground, to be sure, but we think too many campgrounds try to make them sound better by using the word Resort in the name. To us, it’s not a resort unless there is a pool, jacuzzi, activities, restaurant, etc… This place is nice, but we’ve seen some other ‘Resort’ campgrounds that might even reconsider the term campground.

The weather right now is nice; in the 60’s and will be near the 80’s by the weekend. Compared to the rest of the country right now with blizzards and all, you just can’t beat the weather! From where we’re camped, we can see snow-covered mountains in the distance and the beach is but a couple of miles away. Nice.

While Shadow was getting groomed today, we took a short drive over to the Queen Mary in Long Beach. We were married aboard the Queen Mary 25 years ago on the 16th of this month.

Cheryl thought it would be an appropriate picture to show 25 years buy holding up our fingers “2” and “5” but we goooofed and did it backwards:

We got it right the second time. Then she said, “It only feels like 52 years. Just KIDDING!” ;-)
