Bath and a Haircut – Again!?

Before

Before

Hi, Shadow here again to talk about another day as a RVing Pup. And today, once again, I was woken up early in the morning to take another drive. Once again, I was fooled into thinking we were going on another adventure, only to be dropped off at the local groomer for another bath and a haircut. Sheesh. It’s only been 8-weeks since my last haircut! I thought I looked really cute as a fluffy little teddy bear.

We ended up at The Ark Pet Salon in Seal Beach, CA, near where we’re staying at the RV park on the Navy Base. Turns out it was a really nice place!

Everyone there thought I was a star, with us driving up in the truck with my picture on the side and all.

They treated me like a star too! I got a bath and a haircut and lots of hugs and attention, especially from my groomer, Holly. She even put a bow on my collar, so now I’m all set for Valentine’s Day this weekend and Mom and Dad’s Anniversary on the 16th. I have to recommend The Ark to any other pooches passing through Seal Beach, CA. They were clean, fast, and nice. They treated me like the princess I am – they obviously love us dogs!

The price was a little higher than Mom and Dad are used to, but they said it was worth it to for me to be treated so well (and quick – I hate hanging around the salon, you know? I’m a busy dog with places to go and things to smell!) and to get such a great cut! Don’t I look awesome!?

After!

When my hair is long (like before), people always ask my mom and dad, “What kind of dog is he?” (They always say, he – even if I’m wearing my pink collar, harness, and leash!) But when I have my hair cut like I did today, the question is always, “What kind of Schnauzer is he?” It’s kind of fun to be mistaken as a new breed of Schnauzer! ;-)

Well, as usual, a day at the salon has worn me out. It’s off to take a nap and rest up for tomorrow. Mom and Dad say we’re off to see the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard. Now that I’m all spiffed up, I’m ready for my portrait with Rin-Tin-Tin and Lassie!

Until next time… Happy Tails! paw-print
